About the team The User Compliance team sits at the critical intersection of Risk, Onboarding, and Stripe's diverse product teams. Our mission is to orchestrate the collection and verification of customer data, enabling us to manage financial, regulatory, and reputational risks across all of Stripe's offerings. We’re looking for deeply technical engineering managers with a background in risk or compliance and a passion for scaling distributed systems. Here, you'll have the opportunity to lead impactful initiatives that affect a wide range of stakeholders and drive the future of our platform. Responsibilities Work with Stripe leaders across the company to create and drive toward the vision of simple and consistent Risk & Compliance experience. Work with Product Managers to shape up the product roadmap and enable the experiences which helps solve user problems and keep them complaint. Drive the roadmap and priorities for your team, and work with cross functional dependencies across the company to meet the deliverables. Own the technical roadmap for the team and support the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence and stability. Hire and develop the best of engineers in your team; Be a sponsor-coach for the team to learn and grow. Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team. You may be a fit for this role if you: Have built and managed critical systems working with cross functional teams globally; Any experience in Risk and compliance domain is a plus. Have built and grown teams comprising of high talent individuals; Great people manager with proven track record to build self driven and highly efficient teams. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience with minimum 10 years of experience with software development. 8-10 years of overall experience with 3+ years experience in leadership role with people management responsibilities as well. Built diverse teams to tackle challenging technical problems. Thrived in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts. The annual US base salary range for this role is $214,600 - $321,800. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
