Job Details
Low Voltage Estimator – Data Center Projects
Location: Remote – U.S.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview: We are seeking a Low Voltage Estimator to support the continued growth of our mission-critical and data center project portfolio. This position will be responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates for low-voltage systems while working closely with project management, engineering, operations, vendors, and subcontractors.
This is a remote position and an excellent opportunity for an estimator with experience in low-voltage, controls, electrical, or mission-critical construction who enjoys working on complex, large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates for low-voltage systems on data center and mission-critical projects
Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
Perform material and labor takeoffs
Develop project budgets, pricing, and cost estimates
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
Review RFQs, RFPs, bid packages, and project requirements
Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and potential cost impacts
Assist with value engineering and alternative solutions
Maintain accurate estimating documentation and historical cost information
Coordinate with engineering and project teams to validate project scope
Support bid reviews, proposal development, and project handoffs
Evaluate drawings throughout various stages of design and construction
Maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other project partners
Qualifications
Experience estimating low-voltage, electrical, controls, or technology systems
Data center or other mission-critical project experience strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Understanding of low-voltage construction methods, labor requirements, and material costs
Experience performing takeoffs and developing detailed project estimates
Familiarity with RFQs, RFPs, bid packages, change orders, and subcontractor/vendor pricing
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Experience with estimating and construction software such as Bluebeam, Accubid, Trimble, PlanSwift, Procore, or similar platforms is a plus
