Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for a day shift travel assignment requiring BLS, ACLS, and ICU/ED experience.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy department providing cardiopulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients
• Covers ICU, general floors, and ED with minimal NICU and Pediatric exposure
• Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week assignment duration

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy required
• Registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• License required if applicable
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
• Maintain airways, manage ventilators, perform intubations, and draw blood gases
• Follow protocols approved by medical staff and department policies
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered for this position
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
