Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School Based

Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 42 Weeks (Full School Year)
Shift: Day Shift | 5x7.5s
Hours: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM

We are seeking a highly skilled and communicative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based assignment in Houston, Texas. This opportunity is ideal for experienced SLPs as well as Clinical Fellows (CFYs) who are passionate about supporting students' communication and academic success in a collaborative educational environment.

Requirements:

• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist License or actively in the process of obtaining licensure.

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required.

• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and school staff.

• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.

• Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are welcome to apply.

• Experience working with school-aged children preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in middle and high school students.

• Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) to provide therapy services and support deaf or hard-of-hearing students.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.

• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student progress.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to support student success.

• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and educational planning.

• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Ensure compliance with school, state, and professional practice standards.

• Support a positive and collaborative learning environment.
