As a Certified Surgical Technician, you will provide critical support to physicians during ambulatory surgical procedures in a fast‑paced operating room environment. You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team, assisting with the preparation, maintenance, and sterilization of supplies and equipment. Responsibilities Assist physicians and surgical team during operative procedures. Set up, maintain, and dispose of surgical supplies and instruments. Support the scrub and circulation processes during the entire operation. Ensure proper instrument count and sterilization compliance. Required Criteria Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or equivalent. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire. Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician, or comparable training program. High‑school diploma or GED. Ability to work full‑time, Monday‑Friday 10:00am‑6:30pm. Preferred Criteria Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Technician in an acute‑care setting. Experience with ambulatory surgery or outpatient surgical centers. All employees must live within a commutable distance to NYP and will not receive travel expense reimbursement.
