OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Silver Spring, MD by HMD Trucking

Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

- CPM $0.65 base + $0.10 CPM safety/productivity bonus

- Home time: 2 weeks out, 2 nights home

- Extra Stops: $50 per additional stop
- Empty Miles: Paid at the same CPM as loaded miles
- Detention Pay: $15 per hour after the first 2 hours
- Layover Pay: $100 for every 24 hours
- Orientation Pay: $150
Operate nationwide dry van freight with a carrier that prioritizes drivers in the Silver Spring area. You’ll handle solo OTR assignments, manage cargo integrity, and follow company safety and compliance standards while running dependable lanes.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company tractor-trailers on long-haul and regional runs.
- Secure and inspect freight, maintain accurate logs, and perform pre/post-trip checks.
- Coordinate with dispatch to meet delivery windows and customer expectations.
Qualifications:
- CDL-A required with a minimum of 12 months verifiable experience.
- Professional demeanor and strong safety focus.
HMD provides sub-3-year trucks, 65 CPM starting pay, bonuses, maintenance support, home every two weeks, and full benefits.
