Marketing Technology Instructor

Starting Date: August 31, 2026 Job Description Overview The Marketing Technology Instructor will develop and teach a competency‑based curriculum that combines classroom theory with hands‑on application, preparing students for entry‑level positions in marketing, communications, advertising, digital media, retail operations, and related fields. The instructor will create, review, and revise instructional materials, evaluate student progress, and establish objectives to maximize learning. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum five (5) years full‑time experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, advertising, retail merchandising, graphic design, social media management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing campaigns. Proficiency with industry software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Google Workspace, social media platforms, and content management tools. Experience in retail operations, customer service, or entrepreneurship preferred. Teaching experience preferred. Marketing Technology Vocational Technical certification from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or willingness to pursue and obtain certification. Responsibilities Plan, organize and deliver appropriate learning experiences within the assigned area of responsibility. Teach technical skills and knowledge to equip students with competency in their field. Develop lesson plans and manage class time to include demonstration, instruction, hands‑on practice, review, and final activities. Continuously improve instruction, curriculum, and equipment to keep the area current with industry trends and emerging job opportunities. Deliver assigned classes at the scheduled locations and times. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students’ maturity and interests. Prepare for classes and provide written evidence of preparation when requested by the supervisor. Encourage students to maintain standards of classroom behavior and establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media. Implement the district’s mission, educational philosophy, and instructional standards. Assess and document student accomplishments regularly, providing progress reports as required. Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Attend staff and department meetings and serve on staff committees as needed. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law and district policy. Assist administration in implementing policies governing student life and conduct, and develop reasonable classroom rules. Be available to students and parents for education‑related support outside instructional hours when reasonably requested. Maintain and improve professional competence relative to the assignment and student grade or subject area. Establish cooperative relationships with colleagues and open lines of communication with students, parents, and the community. Develop positive relationships with local industry partners and solicit their involvement, including service on the Program Advisory Board. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent/Director or designee. Terms of Employment 184‑day work year. Salary and benefits in accordance with the current NTA Contract.
