Refrigeration Technician

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, construction, and modification of all refrigeration and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, with a special emphasis on ammonia refrigeration and compressors and boilers.

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair manufacturing and ammonia refrigeration equipment or systems.

Perform daily rounds/checks of the ammonia system.

Conduct necessary preventative maintenance on all equipment, including rebuilding compressors and boilers as needed.

Record necessary information pertaining to maintenance.

Knowledge of NH3 refrigeration principles.

Understanding of plant refrigeration systems, electric and mechanical procedures.

Certification or licenses in Refrigeration Operator 1 & 2, CARO, CIRO, or RETA are highly preferred.

Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of refrigeration equipment.

Work the night shift from 6pm to 6:30am, following a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off schedule.

Highly automated chicken processing facility where up to 1 million chickens are processed in a 24-hour cycle.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fremont, NE.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
