Registered Nurse (RN) - Ortho/Joint/Spine

Overview Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The RN is responsible to perform competent nursing care using the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. Standards of practice include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. Professional performance standards include ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. The RN will have clinical knowledge and skills required by specific clinical areas. Shift Part‑time, nights (Third shift). Sign‑on bonus up to $10,000 offered for qualified candidates. Location Virginia Beach, VA Requirements Education: RN degree required. Certification/Licensure: Virginia RN license required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire. Experience: No prior experience required; prior RN experience preferred. Responsibilities Perform nursing care as per standards and professional performance guidelines. Provide direct patient care, coordinate care with multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families. Maintain BLS certification and comply with hospital policies.
