Inventory Specialist

Position Overview Inventory Pharmacy Technician – Knoxville, Tennessee. This role is responsible for managing pharmacy inventory, ensuring sufficient stock and accurate records, and supporting smooth pharmacy operations. Responsibilities Receive, process, unpack, and check in orders on a daily basis. Place and organize inventory on shelves and label products accurately. Perform daily cycle count activities and inventory audits. Maintain adequate inventory levels, restock shelves from overstock, and remove outdated products for return. Investigate and report inventory discrepancies. Update NDCs and other pharmacy system data in a timely manner. Participate in quarterly physical inventory on March31, June30, September30, and December31. Assist with prescription filling and packaging as needed. Submit all regular daily orders to ensure product availability and workflow continuity. Perform other essential functions such as prepacking unit dose medications as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Pharmacy Technician license or registration (state required); National certification (PTCB) preferred. 1+ year of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience). Inventory management skills. Advanced computer skills with pharmacy operations system experience. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong problem‑solving skills with minimal direction. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment with multiple simultaneous tasks and strict deadlines. Work Conditions Monday‑Friday rotating schedules between 7am and 7pm with weekend availability for quarterly inventory. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 30lb and perform tasks requiring close vision and color discrimination. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay. 401(k) with company match.
