If you're passionate about making a difference and joining a mission-driven team, we invite you to explore this opportunity.We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position:Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the building and grounds and minor repairs. The employee will primarily work in a residential housing shelter environment. Responsibilities will take place both indoors and outdoors, depending on the needs of the shelter and its residents. The environment may be fast-paced and require adaptability to changing situations.Victory II is a facility that provides comprehensive services and safe, anonymous housing for individuals and their children experiencing domestic violence.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED with 1 year custodial and/or maintenance experience.Good communication skills.Maintenance Technician Principal Responsibilities:Clean all areas and dispose of garbage in accordance with the facility scheduleProvide general interior and exterior maintenance (examples: floor stripping, power washing, plaster or sheetrock repairs, painting, lightbulb changing).Maintain the facility landscape and perimeter (examples: lawn mowing, shrub trimming, snow removal, debris removal).Complete work orders in a timely manner.Accept and transport deliveries of supplies, furniture, and other program materials. Assemble furniture and equipment and maintain in working condition.Assist in inventory control.Be available and provide back-up in emergency situationsPhysical Demands: This position is physically active and requires regular mobility. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch throughout the day.
