As a Senior Associate, you will: Lead audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality across deliverables Develop and execute audit approaches tailored to Not-for-Profit organizations, including consideration of unique compliance and reporting requirements Collaborate with Managers and Partners to identify engagement risks, improve processes, and deliver value to clients Oversee and guide audit staff throughout engagements, including reviewing work and providing real-time feedback Prepare and/or review financial statements and related disclosures Complete general audit procedures such as client communications, resolving open items, and coordinating audit close activities Research and apply accounting and auditing guidance to complex or nonprofit-specific transactions Build strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted resource throughout the audit process Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies and sharing leading practices with the team What you bring to the role: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field 2+ years of public accounting experience, preferably with exposure to Not-for-Profit clients Passion for delivering exceptional client service and supporting mission-driven organizations Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience mentoring or guiding junior team members Solid understanding of audit methodologies and financial reporting Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Uncompromising integrity and commitment to quality in all aspects of your work What you can expect from us: Our shared values that foster inclusion and belonging including uncompromising integrity, collaboration, trust, and mutual respect The opportunity to innovate and do work that motivates and engages you A collaborative environment focused on enabling you to further your career growth and continuous professional development Competitive compensation and a total rewards package that focuses on all aspects of your wellbeing Flexibility to do impactful work and the time to enjoy your life outside of work Opportunities to connect and learn from professionals from different backgrounds and with different cultures Benefits Information: Cherry Bekaert cares about our people. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
