Your expertise will directly contribute to the electrical design, development, and testing of sophisticated defense systems. This role is perfect for a driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and is eager to apply their electrical engineering skills to high-impact projects.Key ResponsibilitiesEmbedded Electronics Design: Design electronic circuit boards consisting of MCUs, low and high-speed communication busses such as USB, Ethernet, MIPI, digital and analog interfaces, power distribution, EMI, and ESD circuitsTeam Mentorship: Contribute to the growth and development of earlier career engineers through hands on coaching, providing guidance on key projects, and leading by exampleRapid Prototype Design and Testing: Rapidly construct prototypes using standard and application specific lab tools. Test and evaluate prototypes with standard and application specific test equipment to verify design integrity and performanceSchematic and Layout PCB Design: Design PCB, Altium Designer preferred, for flight avionics, guidance systems, communication systems, and power distributionDocumentation: Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, CAD drawings, and product specifications for board and system designsQuality Assurance: Design PCB boards and systems in accordance with Mach and industry quality standards. Collaborate with the quality team ensuring designs meet quality, reliability, and safety standardsRegulatory Compliance: Participate with the regulatory team to ensure all designs and processes meet industry, defense, and export control regulationsCollaboration: Partner with mechanical, system, test, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components, such as vehicle harnessing, into the overall designRequired QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in defense or aerospaceProficiency in electrical design software such as Altium Designer or Cadence.Experience designing with high-performance MCUs, high-speed digital, analog, power, and interface ICsStrong understanding of power systems, analog/digital electronics, and circuit design.Strong performance in schematic, layout, and stackup design for high-speed signals and power deliveryPreferred QualificationsSecurity clearance or the ability to obtain oneFamiliarity with MIL-STD and other defense industry standardsHands-on experience with hardware prototyping and testingIdeal CandidateA highly skilled Electrical Engineer with a focus on innovation and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will excel in circuit design, embedded systems, and cross-functional collaboration.
