You will implement developmentally appropriate activities that encourage emerging language, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional skills while maintaining consistent routines that help children feel secure and supported. You Will Also Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and learning activities for toddlers Facilitate sensory exploration, music and movement, stories, art, outdoor play, and other hands-on experiences Support the development of emerging language, mobility, coordination, independence, and positive social interactions Provide attentive supervision during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, snacks, rest periods, and transitions Assist with diapering, toileting readiness, handwashing, feeding, and other age-appropriate personal-care routines Respond promptly and compassionately to each child’s physical and emotional needs Maintain consistent classroom routines while remaining responsive to individual developmental needs Create classroom resources and maintain a physical environment that supports safe exploration and learning Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom, including the regular cleaning of toys and learning materials Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leaders to provide a consistent and positive student experience Communicate professionally with families regarding classroom activities, daily routines, developmental milestones, and student progress Follow all school policies and applicable licensing requirements related to health, safety, sanitation, and student supervision What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; a completed Child Development Associate credential in Infant/Toddler care; or at least 30 hours of college credit, including a minimum of six hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, and one year of previous experience working in a licensed child care facility Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed child care setting preferred Knowledge of toddler development, care routines, and age-appropriate learning practices A patient, nurturing, and responsive approach to early childhood education Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children and families Reliability, collaboration, and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education Ability to successfully pass state and federal background checks Compliance with all applicable state education and licensing standards #J-18808-Ljbffr Chesterbrook-Academy
