1ST POSTING OPEN FOR ENROLLED TRIBAL MEMBERS OF THE STOCKBRIDGE MUNSEE COMMUNITY POSTING DATE: 5-28-2026 CLOSING DATE: 6-4-2026 WAGE: $17.93 Negotiable non-exempt GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Pool Maintenance /Housekeeper is responsible for the safe, efficient and complete operation of the community swimming pool and whirlpool. This role ensures water quality, facility cleanliness, equipment functionality, patron safety, and perform housekeeping/maintenance service in the Mohican Family Center building. STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS: All employees of Stockbridge Munsee Community must meet the following qualification: 1. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and health screening. 2. Must be at least 18 years of age, unless otherwise stated on job description 3. Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record 4. Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays DUTIES 1. Complete daily cleaning of the Mohican Family Center which includes staff offices. - vacuuming, sweeping, garbage disposal, recycling, and mopping. 2. Will keep entryways, outside entrances, and maintenance area free of ice, snow, and debris.
3. Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of the pool, deck, locker rooms and equipment. 4. Responsible for keeping the bathrooms clean and operational. 5. Stock maintenance room and bathrooms with paper products. 6. Monitor pool and whirlpool systems including pumps, heater, and chemical feed systems. 7. Test and monitor water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.) and make necessary adjustments to meet health and safety standards daily.
8. Maintain accurate records of water testing, chemical usage, maintenance, and inspection. 9. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health codes and safety regulations. 10. Conduct daily inspections of pool and whirlpool facilities, equipment, and surrounding areas 11. Respond to pool-related emergencies. 12. Report safety hazards, equipment failures, or incidents promptly to supervisor. 1. Perform and log preventive maintenance on all P&E operated buildings including, but not limited to :
14. Shovels snow (roofs, sidewalks, etc.) and plows (driveways) designated areas. 15. Must follow all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of the Stockbridge Munsee Community. 16. Required to attend job related, in-service, meetings, and training to maintain professional and technical knowledge. 17. Must adhere to tribal law and other applicable laws as well as tribal personnel policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS 1. A High School Diploma, G.E.D or HSED is preferred 2. Certified Pool operator certification or (ability to obtain within 30 days.) 3. Knowledge of pool operations, water chemistry and safety practices preferred. 4. Ability to read and interpret safety regulations and equipment manuals. 5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. 6. Must possess or be able to gain CPR certification within 90 days of hire. 7. Must be able to work with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
8. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions. 9. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. 10. Must be willing to handle hazardous chemicals safely. 11. Must be able to work under stressful situations on daily basis. 12. Must be eligible for coverage under the employer's liability insurance. 13. Must be able to meet physical requirements of position. 14. Must abide by departmental and organizational safety, testing, and uniform guidelines. 15. Must maintain confidentiality. 16. Must adhere to the Tribe's Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment. 17. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required. Must obtain a Wisconsin driver's license within 30 days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver's license. Must meet and maintain the eligibility to operate a personal or tribal vehicle under the driver acceptability guidelines as established by Mohican Nation Insurance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT 1. This position requires a lot of standing with occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. 2. Evening and/or weekend is required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required. 3. Work environment requires excellent personal hygiene due to working in close proximity to others and in an enclosed area. 4. A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or TB Skin Test may be required. - Furnace maintenance - bleeding systems, starting, trouble shooting, filter changing
- Air conditioner maintenance
- Minor plumbing - cleaning up backed up toilets, snaking, repairing sinks, faucets, tubs, washers, water heaters, sump pumps, soldering, PVC Repair, etc.
- Building repair - drywall repairs, painting, door locks, preventive maintenance, heat tape roofs, carpentry, concrete slabs, building shelters, repairing roofs, door closures, building ramps, etc.
- Generator maintenance
- Small flooring projects.
- Furniture - moving, setting up, disassembling, etc.
- Appliance repair - refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, etc.
- Inspect Fire extinguisher tags
