Pre-School Associate Teacher

Position Title Part‑Time Pre‑School Associate Teacher Employment Type Part‑Time Faculty/Counselor/Librarian Temporary Substitute Job Summary Riverside Community College District seeks qualified applicants to establish a pool for part‑time and/or substitute pre‑school associate teachers. Location District (physical location: District) Salary Hourly, range 1, step 1 to range 4, step 4 of the Early Childhood Employees Salary Schedule. Education 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (CD) including core courses: Child/human growth & development Child/family/community or child and family relations Programs/curriculum Must have a minimum of three semester units or four quarter units in the core areas of child/human growth & development and child/family/community. Experience 50 days of 3+ hours per day within 2 years. Alternative Qualifications Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. Licenses and Certifications Must hold or be able to obtain a Child Development Permit issued by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Other Qualifications Evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Duties and Responsibilities Provide service in the care, development, and instruction of children in a child care and development program. Supervise an aide and a pre‑school assistant teacher.
