Blending & Distillation OperatorWe are hiring a Blending & Distillation Operator for a manufacturing facility in Lakeland, FL. This position is responsible for operating blending and distillation equipment used to process liquid raw materials, including citrus oils, terpenes, alcohols, and other ingredients.Candidates should have previous forklift experience and ideally have experience in blending, chemical processing, food or beverage manufacturing, flavor and fragrance production, or a similar process-manufacturing environment.You will receive training before transitioning to the permanent 7 PM7 AM night shift.ResponsibilitiesPerform batch blending operations using liquid and semi-volatile raw materialsFollow batch sheets, formulations, and SOPs to accurately weigh, add, and mix materialsOperate distillation equipment, including fractional distillation units, wiped film evaporators, and short-path distillation systemsMonitor and adjust temperatures, vacuum levels, reflux ratios, and flow ratesOperate and monitor supporting equipment such as boilers, condensers, chillers, and heat exchangersSet up and clean tanks, reactors, piping, pumps, and distillation columnsMaintain accurate batch and production documentationSafely operate a sit-down propane forkliftFollow all facility safety, quality, and production proceduresQualificationsPrevious forklift experience requiredManufacturing, blending, batching, chemical processing, or production experience preferredExperience with citrus processing, terpenes, or aroma chemicals is a plusExperience in flavor & fragrance, food ingredients, nutraceutical, or chemical manufacturing is preferredUnderstanding of basic distillation principles, including boiling points, reflux, and vapor/liquid separation, is a plusExperience with SAP, NetSuite, or another ERP/batch-tracking system is a plusExposure to GC or GC-MS sampling/quality processes is helpfulComfortable working around production equipment and strong odorsWork EnvironmentNon-climate-controlled manufacturing environmentStrong citrus/orange aroma throughout the facilityMust be comfortable working a 12-hour night shiftScheduleCandidates will train on an initial training shift to learn the equipment, processes, and safety procedures.
