Environmental Graphic Designer

In the role of Environmental Graphic Designer , you will help shape meaningful branded experiences by translating ideas, stories, and identities into creative environmental graphics that connect people to place. The Environmental Graphic Designe r is responsible for the conceptual development and delivery of unique branded touchpoints, including brand identity development and expansion, exterior and interior signage, retail communications, wayfinding, artistic displays, and historical exhibits. Working collaboratively with the Branded Environments team and other project disciplines, this position supports graphic programs from concept through production while delivering thoughtful, original, and brand relevant design solutions that reflect client objectives and NewGround's commitment to excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop innovative, original, and brand relevant design content. Collaborate with the Design team in the development of presentation content. Participate in internal project kickoffs, brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and other collaborative project meetings. Present concepts and designs to internal teams, the Creative Director, Director of Branded Environments, and clients as appropriate. Obtain brand identity materials, historical assets, and other resources from clients as needed to support project development. Coordinate and collaborate with the Creative Director, Branded Environments team, Program Management, Project Architects, Interior Designers, and other project team members. Manage assigned graphic programs from concept through production with support from Senior Designers and the Director of Branded Environments. Develop and maintain design review and presentation schedules in coordination with the project team. Support client review and approval of assigned creative projects with guidance from Senior Designers and the Director of Branded Environments. Collaborate with production resources, vendors, installers, construction teams, and field staff as needed to support accurate and successful execution of design intent. Support project storytelling and the development of project content that may be used to support Business Development efforts. Perform other related duties as assigned. Collaborate effectively across disciplines and contribute positively to brainstorming, design reviews, and project development. Demonstrate initiative, organization, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities. Respond constructively to creative direction and feedback while continuing to develop design capabilities and professional expertise. Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment that reflects NewGround's core values and commitment to excellence. Travel occasionally, up to 20%, to support client meetings, project needs, installations, and other business requirements. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES One to three years of professional experience as a Graphic Designer or in a related design role. Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, or degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, or a related discipline preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat, with continued development of Adobe Creative Suite expertise. Working knowledge of Microsoft platforms, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of graphic design principles, media, typography, branding, and current design trends. Basic knowledge of production processes and experience working with third party printers, vendors, and installers. At NewGround, we believe in investing in our people.
