Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Osage, IA. This role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, performing general ledger reconciliations, and maintaining accurate accounting records for business and individual clients. The Accountant will assist with tax preparation and planning, support payroll and accounts payable/receivable processes, and help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Daily responsibilities also involve analyzing financial data, identifying variances, and communicating findings to senior team members and clients. The role requires collaboration with colleagues to meet deadlines during peak periods and provide timely, high-quality service. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong technical accounting skills, including financial statement preparation, general ledger management, and reconciliation capabilities. Candidates should possess skills in tax preparation and basic tax planning for individuals and businesses. Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and related office applications. Candidates should possess attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; CPA certification or progress toward licensure is a plus. Prior experience in public accounting or a similar professional services environment is beneficial.
