Role Description The Behavioral Health Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in North Wilkesboro, NC. This team member supports patients in their daily treatment activities, including monitoring patient behavior, documenting observations, and reporting significant changes to clinical staff. The role involves assisting with behavioral interventions, reinforcing treatment goals, and helping maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. Daily tasks include facilitating group or individual activities as directed, supporting patient adherence to program schedules and guidelines, and collaborating with counselors, nurses, and other professionals to ensure consistent, quality care. The technician also participates in team meetings, follows all clinical and safety protocols, and upholds confidentiality and regulatory standards. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis to support structured behavioral interventions and treatment plans. Candidates should possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members. Candidates should possess knowledge of behavioral intervention techniques and foundational psychology principles to assist in implementing therapeutic strategies. High school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary coursework or degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or a patient‑facing healthcare role is beneficial. Ability to maintain professional boundaries, manage stressful situations, and respond calmly to behavioral escalations. Basic computer and documentation skills, with attention to detail and adherence to confidentiality and compliance standards.
