This is a local route position with consistent schedules, mostly no-touch freight, and the opportunity to play a direct role in helping individuals in our community achieve independence through work.Home Daily - No over-the-road travelMostly No-Touch Freight / Drop & HookConsistent Local RoutesFull-Time, Year-Round WorkMission-Driven OrganizationSupportive Team EnvironmentStable Schedule and Reliable EquipmentAs a CDL A Truck Driver, you'll safely transport donated goods and materials between Goodwill locations while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.Drive tractor-trailers between donation centers, retail stores, warehouses, and program locationsTransport donated items and salvage materials throughout Central OhioComplete scheduled pickups and deliveries safely and efficientlyFollow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety proceduresCommunicate effectively with logistics team members regarding route updates and delivery statusConduct required vehicle inspections and report maintenance concernsMaintain delivery documentation and required recordsPerform other transportation-related duties as assignedValid CDL Class A LicenseMinimum one (1) year of commercial driving experienceExperience operating manual transmission (stick shift) trucksHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to pass a road testSafe driving record with fewer than six (6) points on licenseAbility to meet DOT requirements and work safely in a transportation environmentThe ideal candidate will have:Strong commitment to safetyGood judgment and decision-making skillsAbility to work independentlyExcellent communication skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to adapt to changing priorities and schedulesKnowledge of commercial driving regulations and best practicesAbility to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicleAbility to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds regularlyFrequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and handling materialsAbility to safely enter and exit commercial vehicles throughout the workdayThis position regularly involves:Operating commercial vehicles in varying traffic conditionsExposure to changing weather conditionsWorking around loading docks, warehouses, and retail locationsExposure to mechanical equipment, vehicle exhaust, and moderate to loud noise levels
