Respiratory Therapist, Internal Traveler Program

The Internal Traveler Program is an opportunity for healthcare professionals to explore the boundless possibilities at UVA Health. Compensated competitively with other traveler positions. Please visit link: Opportunities are available for Respiratory Therapists. We seek a competent clinician with moderate-level knowledge, assessment and therapeutic skills for respiratory conditions. Minimum Requirements Education: Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy educational program. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: 12 months of acute/critical care respiratory therapy clinical experience. Licensure: Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required (new graduates must obtain within 90 days of hire). Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Active NBRC Specialty Credential (e.g., RRT‑ACCS, RRT‑NPS) preferred. Physical Demands Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending, stooping and traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift, push and pull over 100 lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood, body fluids and infectious disease. The starting base rate for this role is $64.00 hourly.
