Job Description Counsel clients on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions — including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing across a range of asset types and deal structures Partner with developers, investors, lenders, and commercial tenants to understand objectives, structure deals, and deliver practical, client-centered legal advice Lead due diligence processes including title review, survey analysis, and environmental assessments — identifying risk and advising clients accordingly Ensure client compliance with applicable real estate, title, and zoning laws and regulations, including land use and development matters Build and manage long-term client relationships that deepen trust, strengthen engagement, and generate ongoing business development opportunities Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver integrated service on complex, multi-disciplinary matters Qualifications 5+ years of commercial real estate experience in private practice (required) In-depth knowledge of real estate transactions, development, and financing; familiarity with land use and zoning compliance Active Nebraska Bar license, or eligibility and commitment to obtain licensure Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to translate complex deal dynamics into clear client guidance Detail-oriented with a track record of producing accurate, high-quality work product efficiently Client-focused with a proactive, responsive approach to service Comfortable working independently on matters while contributing to a collaborative team environment Initiative-driven: takes ownership of work and manages transactions with appropriate autonomy Why You Will Love Working Here This is a firm where commercial real estate attorneys do substantive, interesting work — and where the infrastructure to support your success is genuinely in place.
