DescriptionPosition at Port Authority Trans-HudsonAbout the RoleSr. Electrical Engineer – SCADA System Supervisor / Integrator, is a role which supervises and provides direction to Power, Signals and Communication (PS&C) Division staff related to the planning, scheduling and assigning of asset maintenance, repairs, installation, construction, inspection, testing, operation, training and documentation of technical systems.Ensure that the various mission-critical operating systems are integrated to function with enhanced safety and improved reliability and efficiency. This includes interfaces with the existing Unified Communications Network (DWDM / SONET), the Signal System, the PATH Train Control and Communications (PTCC) Center, the existing and new power and electrical distribution systems and related SCADA System, Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems, other security-related systems, asset maintenance management systems, and other computer-based systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign, program and implement systems integration processes.Oversee staff in carrying out preventive technical maintenance routines, equipment repairs, testing, and new installations in accordance with plans and budget.Monitor performance, quality and safety of work; maintaining records; assigning and directing testing and investigatory activities.Conduct field inspections and site investigations. Investigate causes of malfunctions and respond to system audit recommendations.Review design and construction submittals; plan for upgrades and modifications; prepare estimates, schedules, reports, and other documents.The foregoing is not exclusive and is not meant to describe all those duties that may be assigned.Minimum QualificationsCandidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.Minimum of 10 years’ experience; SCADA and other related Control System Design & Integration experience in the direct involvement of the design, installation, integration, testing, and/or maintenance of control, computer, and/or communications-related systems.Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in design, installation, integration, testing, and/or maintenance of control, computer, and/or communications-related systemsDesired QualificationsExperience with Visual C++ Programming, Wonderware, TI PLCs, GE PLCs, and other market PLC units programming and programming languages.Experience in integrating systems and technologies that are both the industry leading technology and industry legacy systemsExperience with automated diagnostic systems, including troubleshooting of system and process control issues; computer communications network, high-speed data network, computer programming.Experience with Siemens PLC Programming, Visual Basic, Cimplicity HMI, Kepware, and OPC ServersDemonstrated ability to analyze and isolate complex system level problems.Knowledge of current technology trends, industry practices, standards and codes.Demonstrated leadership experience in previous work assignments.Excellent oral and written communications and presentation skills.Ability to effectively interface with internal staff, customers, partners, and vendors.Skilled in problem analysis and resolution as well as project management.Selection ProcessThe application process varies by position, but typically includes an initial phone interview for qualified candidates, followed by a more in-depth interview(s) and/or assessment(s). The expected compensation range for this role is:​ ​Minimum: $110,474 Midpoint: $143,613 Maximum: $176,748​ ​In accordance with Port Authority policy, this position permits employees to work remotely a maximum of one day per week.
