Certified Recovery Specialist Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15210 Date Posted: 07/01/2026 Employment Type: Independent Contractor 1099 Responsibilities: Utilize personal experience with addiction to provide peer support and foster trust with clients and families. Provide hands‑on support in developing essential life skills to promote stability and independence. Lead and facilitate recovery‑focused group sessions, providing education, peer support and coping strategies. Help obtain supplies, coordinate transportation to appointments, etc. Compensation and Hours: Up to $20/hr, depending on qualifications, availability, and skills. Tuesday‑Saturday 8 AM‑4 PM or 3 PM‑11 PM. Occasional flexibility may be required. Required Experience and Education: High School diploma/GED. At least one year of experience working with youth. Act 33/34 & FBI clearances required. Valid Driver's License, vehicle, registration, and proof of insurance. May require working varied hours, evenings, some weekends and holidays.
