Summary
Performs moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory tests in one or more of the following disciplines: Blood Bank Microbiology Manual Procedures and Automated Procedures.
Responsibilities
- Performs automated semi-automated or manual laboratory testing.
- Determines acceptability of specimens and reagents.
- Follows department approved standard operating procedures.
- Performs within established guidelines in a timely manner.
- Operates equipment and instrumentation necessary for testing.
- Evaluates specimens for acceptability and documents misidentified mislabeled and inappropriate specimens.
- Identifies and solves pre-analytical problems.
Experience: Required: * 3-5 years
Education: Required: * Associate's Degree
Licenses And Certification:* Medical Laboratory Technician Must pass certification exam within 1 year of hire
