Technician II (Diesel Mechanic)
Creedmoor, TX | Full-Time (1st, 2nd , or 3rd shift)
Overview
Bronwick is working with the client to hire a Technician II (Diesel Mechanic) in Creedmoor to support fleet maintenance and repair operations for Class 8 trucks and heavy equipment .
This role is ideal for a technician with preventive maintenance experience who wants to grow their diagnostic and repair skills while working with an experienced maintenance team.
What You'll Do:
- Perform preventive maintenance on Class 8 trucks and fleet equipment
- Inspect vehicles and identify faults during inspections
- Replace failed components such as - brakes, sensors, starters, alternators, hydraulic cylinders
- Assist with repairs involving - turbos, EGR systems, air compressors, fuel systems differentials
- Use diagnostic software and hydraulic gauges for troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation
- Assist in training Technician I employees
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety regulations
What We're Looking For:
- At least one year preventive maintenance experience on heavy trucks or diesel equipment OR technical training in diesel maintenance
- Mechanical aptitude and basic diagnostic ability
- Must provide your own tools
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment
- Basic computer skills for service documentation
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class B CDL
- ASE certification, or ability to obtain
- Formal preventive maintenance training
- Safe driving for the last five years
Required Licenses:
- Valid Class C driver's license
- Safe driving record for the past three years
- State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 90 days
