Our client has a strong reputation, an established customer base, and significant opportunity for growth. The next Inside Sales Manager will play a central role in transforming an established team from a primarily reactive, order-taking environment into a more proactive, consultative sales organization focused on growing customer relationships and driving revenue.

The Opportunity

The Inside Sales Manager will lead a team of approximately 12–15 sales professionals and will be accountable for team performance, revenue growth, customer retention, lead conversion, and employee development. This is a build-and-change leadership role . The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish sales standards, strengthen coaching and accountability, improve pipeline discipline, and help the team become more effective at identifying opportunities and growing existing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and motivate an established inside sales team.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop sales talent as the organization grows.
• Create a more proactive and consultative sales culture focused on identifying customer needs and growing relationships.
• Establish clear performance expectations, sales standards, and coaching routines.
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
• Monitor sales activity, pipeline health, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators.
• Use sales data and customer insights to identify trends and opportunities.
• Improve lead qualification, follow-up, and sales execution.
• Conduct regular coaching conversations and performance reviews.
• Address performance issues and create development plans that help team members improve.
• Support complex customer situations and escalated sales opportunities.
• Develop programs and initiatives that increase sales activity, engagement, and productivity.
• Partner with leadership and other functions to improve the overall customer experience.
• Oversee a multi-channel sales environment that may include inbound and outbound sales activity and direct customer interaction.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is an energetic and accountable sales leader who has successfully developed people and improved sales performance.

• 3+ years of sales experience , including meaningful leadership or management experience.
• A demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Experience coaching and developing sales professionals.
• Strong ability to use KPIs, sales data, and reporting to manage performance.
• Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• The ability to establish accountability while maintaining a positive and motivating team environment.
• Strong business judgment and problem-solving skills.

• Leading a sales team through a transition from reactive or transactional selling to a more proactive, consultative approach.
• B2B distribution, wholesale, industrial, manufacturing, building products, or related industries.
