Supervisor, Packaging/Labeling (Weekend Shift)
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc
Supervisor role managing 20–40 packaging and labeling employees in clinical pharmaceutical manufacturing. Responsible for ensuring GMP compliance, driving continuous improvement, and overseeing timely delivery of products across multiple production lines on a weekend shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach packaging/labeling team across multiple production lines
- Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality systems
- Investigate deviations, implement corrective actions with Quality and Operations teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
- Develop team members through coaching, performance management, and training
Requirements
- Advanced degree with 3+ years pharmaceutical/FDA-regulated experience, or bachelor's degree with 5+ years
- Demonstrated leadership of teams with 10+ employees
- Expertise in GMP, regulatory requirements, and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing methodologies (5S, SMED, Takt Time, TPM)
- Strong analytical problem-solving and SOP development skills
- Ability to stand for full shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in cold room/freezer conditions
