Emergency Services Registered NurseShift: Full Time, 3 12s/Week, Weekends, Mids, Nights Available. Requires every other weekend and rotating holidaysWork Arrangement: On-site Department: Emergency Services (may float between ER, ER Observation, Pediatrics ER)Facility: University Hospital – 1 Hospital Dr, Columbia, MOCompensation:· Base Pay Range: $34.46 - $51.02 per hour, based on experience· Shift Differentials:o Additional $2.75 per hour for mid/evening shifto Additional $8.00 per hour for RN Weekend Program or $3.00 per hour for rotating weekend shifto Additional $4.00 per hour for night shift· Retention Rewards: Up to $15,000§ Relocation Support: Additional $5,000 if moving from over 50 miles away§ Retention Reward (Option 1): $2,000 per year for up to 5 years, totaling $10,000§ Student Loan Repayment (Option 2): $2,000 per year toward student loans, up to 5 years, totaling $10,000o Note: Details will be provided during the HR interview. Our ER is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in central Missouri as well as a Level 1 STEMI Center for heart attacks and a Comprehensive Stroke Center, handling high acuity cases, including burns. Utilizes an appropriate tool for assessment and reassessment (0-10 numerical scale, FACES, or the FLACC.)· Demonstrates an understanding of medications regarding action and side effects. Reports pertinent information to the appropriate individual.· Educates patients and significant others about their medications.· Demonstrates the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions in accomplishing goals and intended patient care outcomes.· Maintain the standards of nursing care and implement the policies and procedures of the hospital and assigned nursing unit.· Participates in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups.· Understands the attendance and punctuality guidelines, and adherence to the dress code.· Reports pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate person and records those observations accurately and concisely.· Provides quality patient care and works with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the highest patient satisfaction.· May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.Required Qualifications· Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.· One (1) year of RN experience.Preferred Qualifications· Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. The position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
