Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for Med‑Surg patients on unit D3, including assessments, monitoring, medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care within scope of practice
- Document patient care and progress in EPIC accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, manage alarms, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team
- Adhere to unit‑level patient ratios for nights (approximately 1:5 or 1:6) and support patient flow as needed
- Float within scope of practice and per unit manager discretion, maintaining competency across Med‑Surg tasks
- Uphold infection prevention standards and comply with all charting, safety, and policy requirements

Requirements
- NY RN license required at submission
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital nursing experience
- EPIC charting experience required
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to float within scope of practice
- Travel experience noted; confirm with recruiter whether required
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required with exemptions process available if applicable
- Local radius restriction: permanent address within 50 miles of Saratoga Springs is not accepted; excluded counties include Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, and Ulster
- Healthstream modules must be completed by 7:00 a.m. on the Wednesday prior to start (except TB testing, Orientation Checklist, and Stroke policy)
- Orientation: RN orientation modules estimated at 12–15 hours (non‑billable)
