Travel Fiber Installation Foreman - Data CenterTravel Location: Cedar Rapids, IA (QTS Data Center)We are hiring a Fiber Installation Foreman to support large-scale data center construction projects at the QTS Data Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. This position is ideal for experienced fiber technicians who have led crews or are ready to take the next step into a leadership role.The company offers a 90-day evaluation period for technicians transitioning into a foreman role. Candidates who successfully demonstrate foreman-level capabilities will be eligible for a pay increase following the evaluation period.Lead and manage crews installing fiber optic cabling throughout the data center campusInstall and route fiber optic cable, innerduct, microfiber, and conduit systemsPull cable through underground pathways, manholes, handholes, and conduit systemsRead and interpret cable maps, riser diagrams, blueprints, and work instructionsEnsure all work meets safety, quality, and project standardsLabel and document completed installations accuratelyCoordinate with project managers, splicers, and construction teams to meet project schedules1-3+ years of fiber optic installation experienceFiber cable pulling and routingInnerduct and MaxCell systemsUnderground and conduit installationsAbility to read construction drawings and cable mapsKnowledge of proper cable handling, pull tensions, and bend radius requirementsValid driver's licenseData center fiber installationOSP (Outside Plant) fiber installationPrevious crew lead or foreman experiencePer Diem: $135/day per diemCompany Housing: Company-provided housing $65/day food stipendHigh-security data center environmentIndoor and outdoor workUnderground pathways, manholes, cable vaults, and mechanical roomsPhysically active role requiring standing, climbing, lifting, and walking throughout the dayAverage of 50 hours per week with overtime opportunitiesStrong focus on safety and teamworkOpportunity to advance into a foreman position with increased compensation after a successful 90-day evaluationLong-term data center projectsConsistent overtime availableCompany-paid housing option for travelersWork with a growing team supporting critical infrastructure projectsThis is a permanent position based out of Ridgeland, MS.The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
