Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at—all from Day One.Job DescriptionSUMMARYThis role is an integral member of the Wealth, Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking (WCIB) and Institutional Client Group (ICG) Credit and Lending Risk group. The purpose of the program is to ensure a consistent and effective standard is applied to exam management across all WCIB Business Units (BU).RESPONSIBILITIESRole responsibilities include being a primary point of contact for all internal parties (i.e. Regulatory Services, CRR, OCC, BU's), communicating current-state quality of key BU processes in light of upcoming exams to Senior Management and exam partners, coordination and organization of exam and credit file documentation, tracking and reporting exam status, and collaborating with BU for the duration of applicable exams. As issues are identified, you will participate in identification of root causes and resolution plans. The role requires extensive Credit, exam and issue management experience, as well as excellent written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization. Lead projects that ensure compliance with Credit Policy, BU Procedures, applicable federal regulations. Facilitate the identification of, and solutioning for, risks resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors. Ensures the active identification, response and/or escalation of risks as appropriate. This role acts in the capacity of Subject Matter Expert for a variety of credit related processes and products. Identifies best practices and leads widespread adoption. May influence policies and procedures to regulatory and credit process risk. Accountable for an effective partnership between the Lines of Business and the Lines of Defense.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Typically more than 10 years of applicable experience.- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE- Expert knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business.- Expert knowledge of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, loan documentation, and associated risks/controls.- Advanced knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies.- Strong leadership and management skills of processes, projects and people.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications, nCino, AFS & LIQ and SharePoint.LOCATION EXPECTATIONS- This role requires working onsite from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week.If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.
