Avail Health & Behavioral Solutions, LLC is seeking a Direct Care Provider to join our registry network as an independent contractor. In this role, you will provide one-on-one community support for a high-functioning 20-year-old male on the autism spectrum. Routine care includes acting as a friend and mentor to help the client practice social skills in the real world. This is a great opportunity for experienced caregivers, special needs teachers, and college students.

What does a typical shift look like?
This role operates more like a peer mentor and social coach. The client is conversational, high-functioning, and does not need medical assistance or clinical support. He just needs a solid person to hang out with and help him navigate social settings. A typical shift includes teaming up with the client to do activities like...

• Hitting the gym and working out
• Going fishing or shopping at Bass Pro Shops
• Playing video games at home or going to the arcade
• Bowling or playing putt-putt at the mall
• Grabbing lunch and practicing social skills (like mock job interviews)

What do you need to apply?

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for professional use (gas/mileage not reimbursed)
• Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening
• Personal smartphone required for app-based scheduling and client communication
• CPR/First Aid Certification (required within 30 days of onboarding)
• APD Training Certificates (required within 30 days of onboarding)
