This full-time, contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within an itinerant role, serving students from pre-K through high school across multiple campuses. As an essential member of the special services team, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to help students meet their mobility and functional goals for success in the classroom.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current Florida Physical Therapist license (FL DOH)
• Experience or strong interest in working in a K-12 school environment (pre-K through 12th grade)
• Ability to travel between school sites within the district during the workday
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Must be able to complete Florida Department of Education fingerprinting requirements and obtain/transfer a valid JLA badge

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and deliver physical therapy interventions to students with a variety of needs and diagnoses
• Develop and implement IEP goals in coordination with the special education team
• Document services, progress, and maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations
• Partner with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to maximize student participation in school activities
• Support accessibility and mobility for students across educational environments
• Provide training and resources to staff as needed
