Grain Elevator Operator - Truck Facility Laborer

Position Overview Truck Facility Technician – responsible for loading and unloading grain, operating equipment, maintaining grain quality, monitoring safety and environmental compliance, and supporting daily operations at a grain handling facility. Key Responsibilities Attend safety pre‑shift meetings and fully participate in the company Safety Program. Perform all duties in compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and environmental regulations (ISO where applicable). Transfer, load, and move grain to appropriate locations and maintain grain quality during storage and transfer. Weigh trucks, grade grain (where applicable), and conduct cleaning, sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting, and general housekeeping tasks. Operate, run, monitor, and shut down dryers, hydraulic systems, and other heavy equipment as required. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery. Execute additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience. No required prior experience; 1 year of industrial work experience preferred. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of staff. Ability to follow directions, troubleshoot problems, and maintain accurate documentation. Capability to work independently or as part of a team and to use appropriate tools. Strong customer‑service orientation, both internal and external. Physical Demands & Requirements Work requires continuous balance, bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, crawling, kneeling, and squatting, often while carrying or lifting loads up to 50 lbs. Frequently climbs stairs and ladders, works at various heights, and operates in confined spaces. Must wear appropriate PPE, perform PFT and fit testing where applicable, and comply with FRA and DOT testing. Tasks may involve standing, walking, and operating equipment in high dust, extreme weather, wet or dry conditions, and at locations with barge or railcar exposure. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and to stay alert to emergency signals, is essential. Pay and Benefits The expected base pay range for this role is $17.00 – $25.00 per hour; actual pay may vary by location and experience.
