We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our culinary team at North Dade Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. As a leader in senior living and rehabilitation, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and service to our residents and patients. Our Assistant Kitchen Manager will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation in our kitchen.

About the Role:

• Assistant Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff, and ensuring that all food is prepared and served in accordance with our center's policies and procedures.

• This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 0 years of experience in a similar role.

• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare food service, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• As a key member of our culinary team, the Assistant Kitchen Manager will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, managing inventory and supplies, and ensuring that all food is stored, prepared, and served safely.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in planning, organizing, and conducting kitchen operations to ensure that all food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.

• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure that all dishes meet our center's high standards of quality and appearance.

• Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they are knowledgeable about food safety, preparation, and presentation.

• Manage inventory and supplies, including ordering and receiving, to ensure that the kitchen is adequately stocked at all times.

• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including regular cleaning and sanitation of equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.

• Monitor kitchen operations to ensure that all food is prepared and served in accordance with our center's policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all meals are served in a timely and efficient manner.

• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening in accordance with state regulations.
