COOK (FULL TIME)

Job Summary Full‑time Cook position at Morrison Healthcare, located at MUSC Chester, 1 Medical Park Drive, Chester, SC 29706. Open availability preferred; schedule includes day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Compensation: $17.00 per hour. Responsibilities Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes, schedules, and quality standards. Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Taste prepared food items to verify quality. Use ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records. Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards. Store or discard excess food following safe food‑handling procedures. Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; store food and supplies per standards. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed. Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required. Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies. Report maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately. Attend in‑service and safety meetings. Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers. Perform job safely in a clean, safe environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards. Commit to personal safety and that of others. Abide by all company policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate gloves, oven mitts, and slip‑resistant shoes. Requirements Previous cooking experience preferred. Full‑time schedule; open availability preferred. Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
