ACTUARIAL ANALYST

Actuarial Data and Systems Analyst California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support the annual data extract of millions of data elements and perform data analysis, reconciliations, and tool development as part of our actuarial valuation process. Responsibilities Extract, analyze, and reconcile large volumes of data for actuarial valuation. Develop tools and queries to streamline actuarial office processes. Investigate and answer data‑related questions from stakeholders. Support ongoing data research and compile findings. Minimum Requirements Experience with programming and software such as SQL, VBA, Java, Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel), and PowerBI. Experience with data analysis, research, and compiling research findings. Education and training that demonstrate capability to meet the required qualifications (see Classification Specification). Desirable Qualifications Experience with SQL, VBA, PowerBI, Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Strong analytical, data research, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and communicate findings clearly.
