Obstetrics Physician

Join our bustling obstetrics unit at a leading healthcare center, known for handling approximately 6,000 births annually. This role emphasizes high-acuity obstetric care within a team of committed OB Hospitalists, community OB/GYNs, and Certified Nurse Midwives. • Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
• Setting: Inpatient Hospital
• Start Date: 06/01/2026
• Schedule: Night shift; 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, roughly five shifts per month
• Patient Population: All Ages
• Location: Tucson, AZ
• Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

• Provide comprehensive obstetric care for high and low-risk pregnancies
• Manage labor and delivery, including routine and complicated deliveries
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of MFMs, CNMs, and OB/GYNs
• Perform and interpret obstetric ultrasounds, including viability and targeted studies
• Execute decision-making for cesarean sections and other complex delivery scenarios
• Repair third and fourth-degree lacerations

• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Required Certifications: ACLS
• Preferred skills in surgical and diagnostic gynecology

• Night shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Approximately five shifts per month

• Expertise in low and high-risk pregnancy management
• Proficiency in FHR interpretation and OB ultrasound
• Capability in performing routine and complicated deliveries
• Strong decision-making skills for emergent obstetrical scenarios
