Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology

St. Anthony Hospital is seeking a Locum Gastroenterologist to provide urgent coverage starting December. The ideal candidate must be proficient in ERCP procedures. This position is primarily inpatient, focusing on procedures including ERCP, EUS, Endoscopy, and GI bleeding evaluations, with a need for flexibility in scheduling 5-7 days per month.

Schedule & Availability:

• 24-hour call shifts, 7 a.m. to 7 a.m.
• Ongoing into 2025, with scheduled shifts on December 7, and additional dates to be determined after December 7
• All shifts conclude at 7 a.m. the following day
• Typical work involves 8-10 new patients and follow-ups daily, with 5-8 scopes performed per day

Responsibilities:

• Perform GI procedures including ERCP, EUS, and endoscopy
• Evaluate and manage GI-related issues and bleeding
• Collaborate with hospital staff and support trauma services as needed

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in ERCP procedures required
• Proficient in EMR (Epic) with prior experience preferred
• Ability to obtain necessary credentialing, license, and EMR access promptly

Travel & Accommodation:

Candidates must be willing to stay at specified preferred hotels (e.g., Sheraton, Hampton Inn, Sonesta, Towne Place Suites, Fairfield Inn) with pre-negotiated rates requested at booking. Local or drive-in candidates highly preferred.

Credentialing & Licensing:

• 60-90 days for credentialing; emergency privileges in 1-2 weeks with a clean file
• Active CO license or IMLC, with all credentialing documents submitted promptly
• NPDB report required
