Surgical Technician (SEIU)

description : Assists the surgical team in the preparation of surgical procedures in the operating room. Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, supplies and medications to surgeons during cases. Performs a variety of technical skills, including the maintenance of supplies. This position is represented by SEIU. requirement : Rotating Shift, 4 x 10s, start at 6:30 or 8:30. not set days of the week. Call one Night per week and one weekend per month. must have 2 years of experience with ortho, totals, GYN, and general.Education and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: PreferredAssociate?s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredSix months of OR experience or completed Scrub Tech course: RequiredLicenses/Certifications:Surgery Technician certification: PreferredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredFacility Specific License/Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
