Senior Product Manager - Billing

Job Description Motorola Solutions is looking for a Product Manager to own billing infrastructure across the Avigilon Alta platform. You will handle licensing and subscription management, ERP system integrations, and deliver a unified billing experience across the Avigilon Alta suite of products. You will run discovery, define outcomes, ship product, and measure results. What You'll Do Own Billing Infrastructure: take full ownership of Alta's billing platform, define outcomes, run discovery, and drive the roadmap for licensing, subscription management, and ERP integrations in close partnership with engineering. Run Continuous Discovery: talk to customers, finance teams, and operations stakeholders regularly; conduct interviews, observe billing workflows, analyze usage and payment data, and synthesize findings into clear problem statements. Ship Product That Matters: work with engineering and design to move from problem to solution to delivery; write clear specs, make scope trade‑offs, and ship solutions that solve the defined problem. Measure Impact: define success metrics and instrument the product to track them; use data to inform decisions, validate hypotheses, and demonstrate business impact. Unify the Billing Experience: drive a consistent billing and licensing experience across Alta Access and Alta Video, eliminating friction for customers managing multi‑product subscriptions and for internal revenue reconciliation. Collaborate Cross‑Functionally: work with Finance, Sales Operations, ERP teams, and other product teams to coordinate billing changes, launch cleanly, and incorporate field feedback into the roadmap. Understand the Landscape: stay current on billing platform trends, SaaS monetization models, and ERP integration patterns to inform pricing, packaging, and subscription management at scale. What You'll Bring 5+ years of product management experience in SaaS, cloud platforms, or enterprise software. Experience with billing systems, subscription management platforms, or ERP integrations (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Salesforce CPQ). Strongly preferred. Demoed ability to run customer discovery and translate findings into product decisions. Comfortable working directly with engineering, including technical discussions about architecture and trade‑offs. Experience defining and tracking product metrics and using data to drive prioritization. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate strategy to technical and non‑technical audiences. Bias toward action and learning over perfection; experience shipping product iteratively. What Sets You Apart AI Fascination and Vibe Coding Experience: ability to build AI‑generated prototypes quickly. Billing Automation Experience: improved billing workflows through automation, self‑serve subscription management, or ERP integration, with measurable reduction in manual finance operations. Finance and Revenue Operations Knowledge: understanding of billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition in a SaaS business, and ability to converse with CFOs and finance teams. Legacy to Modern Billing Migration: experience moving from legacy billing or ERP systems to modern platforms, managing data integrity, cutover risk, and stakeholder alignment. Multi‑Sided Ecosystem Thinking: working with products that serve partners, installers, integrators, and end‑users, balancing trade‑offs. Technical Depth: background in CS, engineering, or similar, enabling deep engagement on system design, APIs, and platform architecture. Basic Requirements Bachelor's Degree. 3+ years of product management experience. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; no work‑permit sponsorship available.
