Job Summary

To provide support to the school in non-teaching capacities such as cafeteria worker instructional assistant etc. Assignments can be hourly daily or even long term over many days depending on the needs of the the direction of the Principal assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom environment; assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans; perform routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel.

Requirements / Qualifications

In addition to the documents below information for three Professional References must be provided. Professional References MUST be people who worked as your Supervisor Manager or HR References CANNOT be friends family family friends or experience working with children in an organized setting also required.

Substitute Intervention Assistants cover in the classroom for regular employees who are out for various addition to standard Intervention Assistant job duties Job duties for Special Education IA substitute positions may include the following:- Assist students with personal hygiene and grooming as required; assist students with eating activities; assist children with toileting diapering and changing those who have experienced toileting accidents; assist students with performing and developing self-help and social skills.- Utilize a variety of assistive devices and mobility related equipment including toileting chairs changing tables visual aids wheelchairs and other related augmentative equipment; assist students with operating assistive technology for student related service equipment; facilitate effective communication for students using assistive language are expected to carry out all of these duties required of them.
