Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, mid-shifts (1100-2330 or 1500-0330), includes weekends and holidays. 4:1 patient ratio. Float required within the health system.

• High-volume department serving nearly 45,000 patients annually with 140 daily census
• State-of-the-art facility with 40 exam rooms plus 19 vertical care spaces
• Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• Combined adult and pediatric emergency care across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• 20 hours of orientation with free onsite parking provided

Requirements:

• Wisconsin RN or Compact RN license (active and in good standing)
• Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date (80% passing score with specific criteria for lethal rhythms and dysrhythmias)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
