The Yates Community Center (YCC) is seeking a reliable, organized, creative, and community-minded Events & Programs Coordinator to lead the planning, development, coordination, and execution of community events and programming that support YCC's mission.

Reporting to the Director of Development , this position serves as the primary owner of YCC's events and programming. The Events & Programs Coordinator will independently develop new program ideas, build event plans from concept to completion, coordinate logistics, and oversee successful execution.

The ideal candidate has a background in teaching, training, recreation, organizational management, event planning, or program development and enjoys creating engaging experiences for children, families, athletes, seniors, and community members.

This role requires a self-starter who can manage multiple projects, build relationships throughout the community, and bring fresh ideas that continue to grow YCC's impact

Requirements:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Positive, community-oriented attitude
• Experience in event coordination, nonprofit work, hospitality, recreation, or program management preferred
• Experience working with youth programs or community recreation preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (experience with Teams/SharePoint a plus)
• High school diploma required; associates degree preferred
