The Metrology Technician plays a vital role in ensuring precision and quality across measurement processes. Working under moderate supervision, this position involves independent use of manual measurement tools to perform calibration, inspection, and testing activities that uphold company and industry standards. The technician will collaborate within various team sizes or operate individually, occasionally traveling to client sites and calibration service locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform measurement calibration using manual tools
- Inspect equipment for accuracy and functionality
- Record and analyze measurement data systematically
- Conduct precision testing to maintain quality control
- Maintain and service metrology instruments regularly
- Generate detailed reports on measurement results
- Ensure compliance with established metrology standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in metrology
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of dimensional measurement techniques
- Proficiency with calipers and micrometers
- Strong attention to detail
