Senior Resident Engineer - Road & Bridge Projects

Job Overview GFT is seeking a Resident Engineer to join our Construction Services Group in New Jersey. The role leads critical construction efforts on large-scale roadway and bridge transportation projects. Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and management for construction projects. Maintain comprehensive construction project records. Oversee interactions with clients and inspection staff on contract change orders, item payments, and material testing. Conduct project meetings and prepare meeting minutes. Develop monthly progress reports. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering. Professional Engineering (PE) License in New Jersey – preferred. Certifications such as TCC, NJSAT, and ACI – preferred. 10–15 years of experience in construction management. Prior experience as an Assistant Resident Engineer or Resident Engineer. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to project sites. Experience with NJDOT and/or NJTA inspection procedures, specifications, and documentation requirements. Preferred Experience with airport projects. Certifications such as Rutgers TCC, NJSAT, ACI. Compensation The salary range for this role is $155,000 - $220,000 per year. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
