Medical Imaging Technologist – Nuclear Medicine

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team in North Platte, NE. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to provide top-quality diagnostic care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established safety standards and regulations
• Operate nuclear imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners
• Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including cardiac, bone, thyroid, and renal imaging
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and infection control procedures
• Educate patients on the procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to deliver the best possible care to patients

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Certification or certification-eligible through ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB
• BLS certification required
• Strong understanding of nuclear medicine protocols, radiopharmaceutical handling, and imaging procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in nuclear medicine is preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply
