Registered Nurse In Intermediate Care Unit

This position requires a registered nurse specializing in intermediate care. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week from 07:00 to 19:30. The nurse will be responsible for caring for adult and geriatric patients. Daily census in the unit averages around 36 patients. Patient diagnoses include renal, respiratory, heart failure, and both medical and surgical conditions requiring telemetry outside of ICU. The nurse will work closely with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Special procedures and patient care will require travel off the unit for certain procedures. The role involves a variety of skills such as managing cardiac telemetry, administering blood products, and providing wound care. This position has a requirement of 10 weekend shifts throughout the contract. Navy blue or white scrubs must be provided by the nurse. Compliance with safety protocols including isolation precautions and the use of PPE is expected.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required. License: Must possess a valid nursing license. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: - Experience in PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown nursing. - Proficiency in telemetry. - Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage dysrhythmias. - Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment. - Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity if census drops. - Experience with the Cerner charting system.
